Editorial policy
Genuine Culture Review aims to describe cultural subjects accurately, with care for context and for the people whose lives or traditions are being discussed. Readers should be able to tell what is established, what is interpretation and what remains uncertain.
Accuracy and context
We check names, terms, dates and factual statements against suitable material before publication. We make distinctions between a documented account, a reported interpretation and a general observation. Cultural practices are not uniform: we avoid presenting one example as representative of everyone, and revise wording when it overstates what the evidence supports.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee coverage, favourable description or editorial approval.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error or a passage that needs clarification, they can write through the Contact page and identify the relevant article and point. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted. Significant corrections should be made plainly, not hidden behind a vague change.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. When an illustration is generated in this way, it should be labelled accordingly; it is not documentary evidence of a real person, place or cultural practice.
